Do you know that everything that happens in our lives has been spoken about before now. I found out that ever since I obeyed the inner voice within and started FibeePens – BLArticles, I get wowed and wowed as I get to see that some of the things that happen in my life were written in Scriptures.
I remember some years back, I challenged a “so-called” friend about mocking people. Need I mention that this same person looks down on people as well. I believe that one should be able to tell a friend when he/she does something wrong. With this belief, It so happened that I was mocked by this person; this provided me a valid opportunity to mention it. Off course I mentioned it without mixing words. This singular honest and sincere action of mine earned me two months of indirect cold war (malice). Not comfortable, I had to ask If I had done something wrong. What I heard surprised me. Today as I read through scriptures, I found an answer to the story I just narrated.
“If you rebuke a mocker, you will only get a smart retort (a sharp, angry, or witty reply); yes, he will snarl at you. So don’t bother with him; he will only hate you for trying to help him. But a wise man, when rebuked, will love you all the more. Proverbs 9:7-8 (TLB)”
Well, I don’t know what else to say… Let us all weigh our actions, attitudes, behaviours, characters and what have you with scriptures. There is nothing new under the sun. Associate yourself with people who love God and embrace wisdom. Help that friend by telling him the truth. It would go on record that you did so.
