Watch your words!!!

Hello dear reader, if this is your first time on my blog, I welcome you with the absolute love of God. As you read, I pray and hope you get blessed. And when you do, do well to be a blessing by sharing till God blesses another.

As much as I can remember of my growing up days, what I am about to write is one that has greatly influenced my life and taken me to where I am today (I am not at my final bus stop yet. Still a work in progress by my maker). Funny enough, it still is influencing my life and taking me places.

For those who know me well enough to tell stories about me can tell you how blunt I am or rather used to be. I always never saw the reason to mince my words or even chew them (I don’t mince words though but i have learned to chew them) so far what I am about to say is the truth. When a negative word is dished out to me, I do not waste any time in refusing the dish. I don’t even mistakenly accept it. I love me too much to accept any negativity or allow it rub off on me. There are times when situations would almost push me over the fence but I will make sure to sit still on that fence and climb gently down by rejecting such thoughts and covering my heart with the blood of Jesus, thereby, locking out any negative thoughts passing by and may want to drop in for a drink or two.

Forgive my long story, but I needed to help you understand how important this is. Our words are like spears. They pierce real deep and some words even go as far as piercing the heart of God. When you say something, even without thinking; even if no one is there , three people heard you – God, the devil and your subconscious. I’ve come to an understanding that the evil ones work with information and most a times we are the one who divulges this information. For God, before you thought it, He knew it and your subconscious, as you are thinking, it gets informed. I have learned to chew my words and if they are so hard to swallow, then they don’t need to be served to another not even God or me.

Many bad and negative things that happen to a lot of people were brought upon them by themselves 90% of the time. You hear them utter words like these: “I think I will not make it”, “I believe someone is after my future” and all those negative words and then you wonder why bad things are happening to you? Remember, God has not withheld the power of choice from us and hence what we do with this power either destroys or builds us.

Instead of thinking of and professing all the bad reasons in the world when ill things happen to you, why not confess the positive success you desire to be the outcome of that situation.

CONFESSION:

  • “I believe God’s plan for me are of GOOD and not evil therefore my thoughts and words will be of good and great things.”
  • “I believe that God created me in his image and His image is perfect, so I am made perfect in my body and life.”
  • “I believe that every GOOD and PERFECT gift comes from God so all I have and will have are good and perfect.”
  • “I believe God’s promise of ‘none shall be barren in the land’, therefore as I remain in this land of the living, I am fruitful.”
  • “God promised me the Head of everything and not the tail. The head is up and moves forward so I remain above and make progress in life.”

Make a list of them as they are so many, stick it on your wall and read it to yourself everyday. Do not accept the evil report of anyone concerning you. If God thinks highly of you, don’t ever not even for a second think low of yourself. See yourself in the mirror of your maker.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:” ~ Proverbs 23:7a

“Be careful who you believe and how you believe who you believe. What and Who you believe influences your life powerfully” ~ Phebe Olaniran

I see you breaking forth with testimonies, do not hinder yourself from enjoying them.

God bless you and Mrs O loves you big. (Watch-out for Part II)
