Day 5: It’s time to GROW UP!

After hearing God clearly, there is the need to grow. How many of you have wondered why some people still behave babyish even in their homes? Everything that happens with their spouse everyone knows about it directly or indirectly. This is usually attributed to lack of maturity or the absence of genuine love.

I love the later ending of the chapter on LOVE in the New Testament. “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.” (‭‭1 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

When you are ready to settle down to become wife to someone, you have to grow up. I’m sure some of us are conversant with the phrase “Marriage is not for babies”. Oh well. The statement is true and not true. Today we will dwell on the True aspect of that phrase. If you are one that when troubled or offended, we all get to know it on Social media or in the house or in the church, you need to GROW UP! Who else better to help you than yourself first then God.

Another area of growing up which is crucial is KNOWING THE RIGHT TIME TO SHARE GODS’S MESSAGE TO YOU. After hearing God most times, it is not for you to tell. It’s to watch for the right time to tell.

Confession: (Your name), you are no longer a child. You cannot behave like a child, You cannot reason and plan like a child. You grow up and forbear, you forgive, you overlook wrongdoings and most importantly of all, you will learn and know when to be quiet and when to share. (Do this in front of a mirror so you talk to yourself right in the eye)

Prayer: Father where it is I have been behaving childish. Where it is that my attitude has portrayed a level of immaturity. I ask that you forgive my mistakes and today I decide that I will grow up and grow better. I ask that you help me achieve this in Jesus name. Just like Mary, help me to know when it is the right time to speak or be quiet about that which you have shown me in Jesus name. Go ahead and pray about everything you need to in this area.

Action: You have an open book. Write on each page with every sense of maturity.

God bless you.
