3 Ways to stay ”BEAUTIFUL” in 2019

This is my first post here this year. Hence, I am allowed to say a happy new year to you all my beautiful people.

This year, I have been up to reading books, engaging with the Word and God, spending time with my family and getting more education. While I am at this, I intend by God’s grace to be faithful in this ministry of christian writing; whether its here on my blog or on my other social media platform. So feel free to follow me there too.

Now back to the purpose of this post. One word for 2019 in Beautiful Life Corner is from one of the easiest to recite verses of the scripture. As easy as it is to recite, following through on it is something some of us are guilty of. But before I proceed, do you know that every thing we need to know is in scriptures? I mean every single thing. There is indeed nothing new under the sun.

Matthew 7:7 NLT ““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”

The New Century Version puts it thus: ““Ask, and God will give to you. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open for you.”

  1. ASK. This is an action that can save us many a times but sometimes, we just don’t use it.
    When in doubt, ask questions.
When you hear something you least expect, ask for clarity.
When you need directions, ask someone.
When you need help, ask for it.
There is a lot that we can achieve when we just learn to ask. There are places we would easily get to just by asking. There are relationships we would preserve just by asking. Asking for clarity when in doubt helps to avoid running into unnecessary and unfavorable conclusions. Asking the right questions would bring the exact answers we need. Asking and not assuming that someone knows will answer so many questions and requests you have.
Now sometimes, you may ask once and it is not done. Scriptures says continue asking. When my daughter asks me a question, if I don’t answer, she continues to ask me, following me around that I just have to answer. I am not saying weary someone with your questions, I am saying don’t say because you asked once, you wouldn’t ask again.
  2. SEARCH. Have you noticed that people no longer want to search for things? They just want to be handed things. I am a meticulous person who love to organize things to avoid looking for them. While living alone, this was possible but with people especially little humans, not possible at all. Now I have to search if I must find. Very funny right? Yeah and very true.
Searching for things can be stressful and time consuming but many a times, searching brings about discoveries. If gold was not sought out or diamonds or even petroleum, would they be found? Absolutely no!
For anyone who want to pursue the beautiful life and succeed at it, he/she must be willing to search. And just before we run on to the last thing, did you notice that Asking comes before Searching? I believe this is intentional. Why? When you ask, you know where exactly to search.
From my experience, asking my little ones where they last kept or saw an item of theirs we are looking for, has made the search area defined and the finding process shorter.
  3. KNOCK. Doors come in different forms and sizes. We have the automatic sliding doors, these ones open of their own accord and any tom, dick and harry can go in. There also are doors which are secured and you have to either ring a bell, call the occupant or knock on with your hand or something. These doors don’t just open to anyone.
Let’s see this example, you go to a house that has a security door and just stand there, it will not open for you if you do not knock either by using the bell or your hand or calling out for the door to be opened. When you need access to something behind a closed door, you knock.
There are doors of opportunity that many of us see everyday and we keep waiting for them to open on their own to us. Unfortunately we have missed these doors just because we didn’t knock on them. Some of these doors were that of business, friendship, relationships, and many others.
Well, the good news or rather, the great news is that, its never late as long as there is life. This year, knock on as many doors of opportunity, God bring your way – Emphasis on God.

In conclusion, you will need to Ask to be able to Search for the doors to Knock on. Take charge and be sure to ASK in 2019 and beyond.
