Hi Beautiful, it’s the time of the year when we create an awareness on the caesarean section method of birth. While we have been aggressively campaigning on social media, it is important that we understand why.
The misconstrued interpretation of the vaginal birth being the “Hebrew Woman” kind of Birth has kept so many in the dark that they would go to any length to hold on to this understanding which has caused many, loss of life. While many always refer to the story of the Hebrew midwives’ report to Pharaoh – regarding the birth of the male children who they were instructed to kill – as the basis for this so called “biblical method of birth,” what they forget to mention is that it’s because these midwives feared God that they gave that report. I want to believe that this was just following God’s master plan to have the Israelite freed from Egypt. Feel free to read it in Exodus 1:6-22
Now another scripture which we must understand is that which is in Isaiah 11. I encourage you to read up all the verses but I will emphasize on verse 9,10
“They shall not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. And it shall be in that day that the Root of Jesse shall stand as a signal for the peoples; of Him shall the nations inquire and seek knowledge, and His dwelling shall be glory [His rest glorious]!” Isaiah 11:9-10 (AMPC)
Now, there is nothing that has happened or is happening, no advancement in science profitable to man (especially His children) that didn’t come from the KNOWLEDGE of God. The knowledge bank of God is inexhaustible and will always be searched out by man because He said in Matthew 7:7,8 (NCV) ““Ask, and God will give to you. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open for you. Yes, everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And everyone who knocks will have the door opened.” The scriptures is explicitly silent of what method of child birth is “saintly” and what type is “sinful.” All we know of is the description of pregnancy and child birth when God called out the consequences of Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the garden as recorded in Genesis 3:16a (NLT) “Then he said to the woman, “I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth.” However in 1 Timothy 2:15 (AMP) “But women will be preserved (saved) through [the pain and dangers of] the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and holiness with self-control and discretion.” Here, we see the conclusion of the matter.
““A woman does not give birth before she feels the pain; she does not give birth to a son before the pain starts. No one has ever heard of that happening; no one has ever seen that happen. In the same way no one ever saw a country begin in one day; no one has ever heard of a new nation beginning in one moment. But Jerusalem will give birth to her children just as soon as she feels the birth pains. In the same way I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born,” says the LORD. “If I cause you the pain, I will not stop you from giving birth to your new nation,” says your God.” Isaiah 66:7-9 (NCV)
The verses above can be likened to a vision come to pass. If we want to go by literal understanding, I will ask this. What method of birth is it that happens before the labor pain begins? While you answer that in your heart, I need you to understand the later words that, “God will not bring you to the point of delivery or allow you experience pain and you won’t give birth to something new.” (The topic is too broad to cover in one post but I pray you find understanding.)
Medical knowledge on the method of birthing is ONE only God can give. One beautiful thing about God is that He is not partial with it. Just like the rain doesn’t find out only the good people to fall on but falls on everyone, so also the “KNOWLEDGE” of God is not limited to just you. Those who search for it will find it. Believers or not.
“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)! For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood His thoughts, or who has [ever] been His counselor? Or who has first given God anything that he might be paid back or that he could claim a recompense? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. [For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center in and tend to consummate and to end in Him.] To Him be glory forever! Amen (so be it).” Romans 11:33-36 (AMPC)
So before you conclude or accept the verdict that C-Section is a sin, remember that the know how is from God.
It is to the glory of God alone that we make this awareness. The plan of God is not to have children motherless and mothers childless at childbirth. If you trusted Him to bring you to term, trust Him for the best birthing option.
“For by me [Wisdom from God] your days shall be multiplied, and the years of your life shall be increased.” Proverbs 9:11 AMPC
