#BWPC: DAY FOUR

Welcome to day four beautiful.

Today we would be praying about SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP.

My dad said in a letter, he gave to me just before I got married that, “The home is a small church. Your husband who God made the Head is the Pastor of this small church. Whether a husband is born again or not, he is still the Head and God can use him.” While I read the letter, I knew that if I wanted to be a better christian and my children have an experiential knowledge of God, I had to pray for my husband to remain in the will of God.

Submitting to the leadership of a man who is not sound spiritually can be difficult and while the wife may be more spiritual than the husband, He still has authority backed by the Word. He is anointed and appointed by God. Now you see why we must pray for our husband’s Spiritual leadership. He has a lot more responsibility than you think and he needs your prayer.

1 Corinthians 11:3 CEV – Now I want you to know that Christ is the head over all men, and a man is the head over a woman. But God is the head over Christ.

PRAYER POINTS

  • [Husband’s name], the day you decided to make me your wife, God appointed you my Prophet, My Pastor, My priest and He anointed you. As my spiritual leader, I receive mercy on your behalf where you have failed in your role as Prophet, Pastor and Priest. Lord Jesus, I ask for mercy for [husband’s name] today. Let the blood of Jesus that makes whole, that makes clean and makes anew speak for him in Jesus name.

  • [Husband’s name], I confess upon this altar that it can be difficult accepting your leadership when it looks like I’m spiritually better than you. Lord, I am sorry for all the times I judged my husband and thought of him less than one who can lead me. From this moment, I choose to be led by my husband who you have placed over me in Jesus name.

Every wife desires a man who is spiritually sound than she is. Why this is so, I don’t know but I believe that’s the way it should be.

Acts 10:1-48 CEV – Vs. 2 Cornelius was a very religious man. He worshiped God, and so did everyone else who lived in his house. He had given a lot of money to the poor and was always praying to God.

I encourage you to read the whole chapter. Cornelius depicts a man who every man should want to be with regard to spiritual leadership.

  • [Husband’s name], upon this altar today, I lift my voice to heaven and I pray that you will have an unquenchable hunger and thirst for God. Mathew 5:6 (AMP) says “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied.” Lord for my sake and that of the children we are blessed with, I declare that you will put a daily hunger and thirst for you in my husband.

Mark 1:35 ERV – The next morning Jesus woke up very early. He left the house while it was still dark and went to a place where he could be alone and pray.

  • Just like Jesus who is the head of the church, I pray for you [husband’s name], every morning you rise from the bed, you will seek the Lord first. You will give God, first time, first place, first words and as you do this, the Lord will reveal his plans for you, me and our children for each day in Jesus name.

Abigail in scriptures was married to Nabal. She was called intelligent and beautiful. (Please read 1 Samuel 25:1-38) But she was married to what the bible refers to as a foolish man. Now she could have as well allowed David to shed blood but she didn’t. She went and remedied the situation without even the knowledge of her husband. And for some of you joining in this prayer challenge, you are here to remedy situations your husband has brought upon you.

  • Father, any foolishness bound in the heart of my husband that will make him to look away from you, or think in his heart that he doesn’t need you. I ask that the rod of correction from heaven remove it far from him. Open his ears to hear your instruction, open his eyes to see when you are leading him and today I declare upon this altar that you [husband’s name] will not bring destruction upon us in Jesus name.

Now every christian husband should be able to know the mind of God for his family per time. Abraham knew, Moses knew, Joseph (the earthly father of Jesus) knew. God gave instructions to them regarding their families. And God today is interested in giving instructions regarding our families. If you are here and God gives instruction to you, don’t you want same to be given to your husband? For me I do. I prefer it always comes from him.

  • Lord God in heaven, I receive an opening for the inner mind of my husband today. [Husband’s name], You will know the mind of God regarding our family per time from this moment onward. I sync your inner-man with the Holy spirit and I declare that you are aware of information that will take this family to greater heights and you are also aware of information that will keep us away from harm. Lord, my husband remain connected to the network of heaven, and there shall be no break in transmission in the name of Jesus.

The bible tells us in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 AMP – These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind. You shall teach them diligently to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up. And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand (forearm), and they shall be used as bands (frontals, frontlets) on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

In these days where technology has taken over, teaching our children about the Lord, I would say became a little “harder.” Now as parents, we have to be intentional and deliberate in not just teaching, but showing through our lives, the word of God.

  • Father, the children you blessed us with, you said in your word are for signs and wonders. May we not disappoint you Lord in this partnership you’ve called us into. On behalf of my husband and I, I ask that you show us the best way to teach our children diligently your word. As we wake everyday and just before we go to bed, help us to never get tired of teaching our children your word. As they go out and come in contact with others, let those words remain a reminder in their hearts, guiding them, leading them and directing them. You promised in your word to be a teacher to our children. From today, You have our signed permission, to be in the ears and mind and eyes of our children wherever they are.

  • [Husband’s name], if the Lord tarries, the word of God, the voice of God will never be scare in our home. It will be the basis on which we build our lives. You will know and hear it. I will know and hear it. Our children will know and hear it and it will be fulfilled in our lives Isaiah 54:13 – I, the Lord, will teach your children, and they will have real peace.

DECLARATIONS

  • I decree and declare, you [husband’s name] will remain in constant touch with your maker.
  • I decree and declare, we are protected because you [husband’s name] is privy to information that will save us from destruction.
  • I decree and declare, that when the voice of God become scare in the land, you [husband’s name] will never stop hearing from God.
  • I decree and declare, that as the priest and prophet of this church (our home), nothing happens by chance or surprise.
  • I decree and declare, just as Jesus knew what God the father knew, you will always know the mind of Christ regarding us.
  • I decree and declare, our children will have an experiential knowledge of God because you and I will never stop telling about Him.
  • I decree and declare, this church (our home) will be a place where the Trinity is happy to dwell in forever.

All this I have decreed and declared in the name of the father, in the name of the Son and in the name of the Holy Spirit. Amen!!!

God bless you for joining in today.

See you tomorrow. Prayer points will be available at 6pm.

Blessings.
