#BWPC: DAY EIGHT

Welcome to day eight.

Today we will be praying for ourselves specifically.

I have observed that a lot of women don’t like to tell one another the truth. Many love to play the pretend game even in marriage. You will hear a woman who is passing through something and instead of calling her out on where she did wrong, they support her and tell her to deal with or leave her husband.

The solution to every complaint from a wife in our present time is, “Leave him.” Even in Christendom and this is so sad. Many a times, we are surrounded by unbelievers who don’t read or know the Bible and some of them have influenced so many Christian women.

Scriptures tells us in Proverbs 14:1 GW – The wisest of women builds up her home, but a stupid one tears it down with her own hands.

A wise woman would not take everything she hears and act on them without discernment. A wise woman would not sit in the midst of those who are not submissive to their husbands. A wise woman would not treat her husband with contempt and disdain in his down time. A wise woman is after the over all development of her family.

Proverbs 14:14 GW – A heart that turns [from God] becomes bored with its own ways, but a good person is satisfied with God’s way.

I believe every wife here wants God’s ways over hers. Because this will bring a satisfaction you can’t explain in your home and marriage.

PRAYER POINTS

  • Father, I pray for your wisdom to know how to build my home brick by brick. Any brick that I have laid and is the reason why there is always a failure of some sort, open my eyes to identify that brick(s) and pull them out in the name of Jesus. Bricks of anger, I pull you out. Bricks of harsh words, I pull you out. Bricks of contentions and unnecessary arguments, I pull you out. (Go on to mentions all the bricks you see in your home and pull them out in Jesus Name.) As I pull them out, Lord give me the bricks to replace them with. Bricks of joy, peace, of unconditional love, of positive words, of blessings, I receive you in the name of Jesus.

  • Father, I know it’s natural for me to want to control things and be in charge. Lord help me to use this managerial talent you have blessed me with in a way that profits my marriage, builds my marriage and bless my marriage in Jesus name.

  • Father, from today and always, I surround myself with believing and Christlike women who will tell me the truth regarding any matter and not sugarcoat it to make me feel good. Any “feel good” woman who is in my life at the moment or will come into my life in the future, let there be a disconnection in the name of Jesus.

  • Father I secure my heart, my eyes, my ears from any thing that will corrupt me and in turn corrupt my marriage and home. I disallow my heart from pondering on negative things I hear around me regarding marriage.

  • Lord, give me a discerning spirit to know when the truth of a matter is not been said. I remove destructive advisers from around me and I ask that I seek satisfaction from YOU alone. Let your words be all the satisfaction I need to excel as a beautiful wife to the husband you have blessed me with in Jesus name.
