This is my first post here in this beautiful year that the Lord has given to us.
If there is anything at all, it is that I started 2023 with gratitude. Gratitude for everything God did in 2022. 2021 was filled with challenges “top to bottom” (if you aren’t Nigerian, what I am saying is I had challenges beyond my expectation)
In 2022, starting the year with God gave me a completely new look at life as a Christian believer. I had a faith I didn’t know I had. I looked at myself and asked myself if I was crazy or just having faith. Well sometimes, faith can be seen as crazy. But this faith that had stirred up in me was here to stay.
2022 ended with lots of answered prayers. I saw answers to prayers that left me mouth opened. Some were too real to be true that I had to be confirming with my husband if it was real. (hahaha) Some left me laughing. Really laughing. (You know that type of laugh that makes someone look at you, asking if everything is alright. Yes. That laugh)

As I began 2023, I decided to let God have His way. No pressure whatsoever, just each day going to the throne, dropping my burdens and taking up His yoke. A case of “I can’t come and go and kill myself.” (Again, if you are not Nigerian, it means, no worries.) I know deep down all I have to do, but I also know that I cannot succeed without God being on my matter. (Again, it means – God helping me out.)
As the year began, the scripture I read was:
For I am about to do something new.
Isaiah 43:19 NLT
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
And for me, I 100% believe it and trust God for it. I also invite you to believe it and trust God for the fulfillment of it.
This also led to my studying of the book of Isaiah this year. It has been more than studying the Bible because I find myself praying as I read. (Is this something you also do? Tell me in the comments section)
This year, I look forward to posting twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday (I know I have said it before, but I am trusting God to help me be consistent)
In May, we would be having our second edition of Beautiful Mom’s Prayer Challenge. (If you know any mom, mom-to-be, tell them to join us)
Our Bible Study support group, where we are prompted to read the Bible daily will be resuming for the year on March 1st, 2023. Join in here and lets study the Bible everyday together.
I am active this year on my social media handles. In fact, I participated in a 21-day storytelling challenge. The videos are on my Facebook. Also, I’ll love you to follow me on Instagram as we connect and share.
It is a wonderful year and it is a year of the Lord and we are doing everything He commands us to do in every area of our lives.
Who’s with me?
Lest I forget, I turned a year older in January and on that day, I re-dedicated my life to God, dedicated myself to His service in every area of my life as a wife, mom, architect and friend.
A Happy Birthday to all January born. The lines have fallen for you in pleasant places. Enjoy a beautiful life.
Beautiful blessing and much love.
