Beautiful Wife Prayer Challenge 2021 (Edition 6.0)

Hello friends, it’s Beautiful Wife Prayer Challenge 6.0!

With gratitude in our hearts to God and our mouths filled with praise; we are so excited to host you in this year’s challenge.

It’s been 6 years of praying and I am grateful to God for all the testimonies that I receive. It is to God alone that all the glory belongs. I must say a big thank you for sticking with us on this challenge every year since 2016. I am also blessed that you would come here and find reasons to pray during these challenges every year.

This year is quite different because God wants to do something different in the lives of wives. The Holy Spirit of God is ready to usher many wives into a deeper understanding and relationship with God.

We are praying to be wives surrendered to and filled with the Holy Spirit.

  • Wives who are led by the Spirit of God in everything.
  • Wives on fire.
  • Wives bringing about the presence of God to their homes, place of work and church.
  • Wives who hear God clearly.
  • Wives who speak God’s mind to His people.

Oh there’s a lot the Holy Spirit wants to do in us, with us and through us. Now is the time. As we go through these 12 days of this challenge, I’ll love you to seek God truly and from a place of total surrender.

I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth.  The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you.

John 16:16,26 The Message

Please feel free to invite as many wives and share this with them.

Beautiful Blessings.

Christ followers and social media

As we go through the second half of 2022, there are a lot of things we must choose to do differently and social media is one of them.

The times that we live in is just wonderful all together. Now we can have people say or write all sorts and post. To them, this gives us the consumer one of two choices – disagree or agree. Then your choice determines their reaction to you. Agree, you are fine. Disagree and they’ll come for you.

The social media space is a free canvas where anyone can sketch and a free writing pad where anyone can write. While this is a medium where many have been blessed, it’s also one where many have become confused and condemned.

I use to unwind sometimes on social media; especially because I get to read posts and even comments. Some posts stirs up strife and debates and some edify. And some are just funny. Social media, in my opinion is just like Google’s search results; and our approach to the content there should not be different from how we go about the google search results.

You go to the ones that will help you and leave the others.

Every Christian believer in obedience to the instruction of Jesus should use every opportunity to reach out in love to others. And how beautiful it is that we have the social media platforms to do this.

However, we have three types of preachers of the gospel on this public space.

  • Those who are driven and inspired by the Holy Spirit.
  • Those who are driven by religion, dogma and denominational doctrines.
  • Those who are driven by themselves.

While I don’t need to elaborate so much on the points above because it’s quite straight forward, let me remind you about the people who were first called Christians in the Bible.

“When he found him, he took him to Antioch, and for a whole year the two met with the people of the church and taught a large group. It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians.”

Acts‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭GNT‬‬

Some other versions call it “Christ-followers.”

The Acts of the Apostles shows and tells of who a Christian is. From Barnabas to Stephen to Saul (Paul), we see and can learn how and what we as Christian believers should behave and do.

I encourage you to read the whole book of Acts in the Bible and ask yourself, “Am I a Christ follower or a religious fanatic?

Today, we have so many religious fanatics who haven’t taken time to study the word of God and seek God for themselves. They are simply hearers who repeat what they heard and don’t understand, quote Bible verses that suite their arguments or they give their own meaning to it.

As Christ followers, it is expected that we are salt and not pepper or bones. Salt seasons, pepper spices and bones chokes.

Looking on the brighter side of Social media, while we all know it is a faux reality, we can, to some extent know or distinguish religious fanatics from Christ followers. Scriptures teach us that it is the content of one’s heart that come out from one’s mouth. Or in this case we see it in their posts or comments or reactions.

So what should you do differently in the remaining days of 2022 and beyond?

Be a light, Be salt, Be beautiful and Be Christlike.

Beautiful Blessings.

Fathers like The Father.

Today, all over the world, it is Father’s day.

I won’t call myself a daddy’s girl and I won’t also not call myself a daddy’s girl. Growing up with my sisters, there are so many lessons we can look back on and thank God for daddy.

Even though we are all girls, we did everything a typical home consisting of boys and girls would do. Even though dad would prefer you don’t do some task that are sort of male-inclined, he eventually would be happy when you do them.

Everyone needs a father and if you are reading this today and your father is alive, I hope you gave God thanks and also honoured your father. I know there might be some who are sort of estranged with their dad, it is my prayer that the Prince of Peace brings calm into the stormy relationship in Jesus Name.

If you ask me who is an ideal father, I’ll say the one who imitates God the Father.

7 characteristics of God the Father that should be found in our earthly fathers

  • God is merciful But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace—His undeserved favor and mercy—you have been saved from God’s judgment). Ephesians 2:4-5 AMP
  • God is kind and compassionateLord, you’re so kind and tenderhearted and so patient with people who fail you! Your love is like a flooding river overflowing its banks with kindness. Psalm 103:8 TPT
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. Psalm 145:8 NLT
  • God is forgivingBut if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 TPT
  • God is goodThe Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works [the entirety of things created]. Psalm 145:9 AMP
  • God is lovingBeloved, let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]. The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.] 1ohn 4:7-8 AMP
  • God is strong and our helperGod is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 AMP
  • God is our shephered and providerThe Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. Psalm 23:1 NLT

On this beautiful day that the Lord has made, with gladness and great joy in my heart, I am wishing ever Father in our community and out there –

Happy Father’s Day.

The Lord bless you, and keep you [protect you, sustain you, and guard you]; The Lord make His face shine upon you [with favor], And be gracious to you [surrounding you with lovingkindness]; The Lord lift up His countenance (face) upon you [with divine approval], And give you peace [a tranquil heart and life].’ Numbers 6:24-26

We love you and God bless you.

SAME, DIFFERENT; WHO CARES?

I took a picture of both my son’s legs.

They had exchanged one leg of their slippers.
I looked at both of them, they had wide smiles on their faces.

Wait.

What if I teach you half of everything I know?
Will I still have a smile on my face?
Will I be happy I impacted your life?
Or will I be jealous of your success?

What if I teach you half of everything I know?
Will I still have a smile on my face?
Or would you make me regret the effort I put in,
by “biting the finger that fed you?”

Let’s exchange knowledge and let’s be able to smile about it.
Let me drink from your fountain of knowledge.
Let me eat from your table and not from the crumbs that fall.

“Let us have a world of ordinary people living life the way God wants us to. And if we have a world of ordinary people, extraordinary things will happen to me and you”

~ Cobhams

That which makes us different is what makes this world a beautiful place.

Beautiful Blessings.

DAY 7 – Confessions & Declarations

Today, as we bring this challenge to a close, we would be making scriptural confessions and declarations over our children.

Confessions

  • I confess that Lord You will keep in perfect peace [Children’s Name] because they trust in you, and their thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3
  • I confess Your unfailing love to [Children’s Name] is better than life itself; how I praise you! Psalm 63:3
  • I confess that the Lord our God shows [Children’s Name] his approval and makes their efforts successful. Yes, make their efforts successful! Psalm 90:17
  • I confess that You oh God, the source of hope, will fill [Children’s Name] completely with joy and peace because [Children’s Name] trusts in you. Then [Children’s Name] will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
  • I confess that you [Children’s Name] will listen when your father corrects you. You will not neglect my instruction. What you learn from us your parents will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck. Proverbs 1:8-9
  • I confess that you [Children’s Name] will make the Lord your refuge, and you will make the Most High your shelter, and no evil will conquer you; and no plague will come near your home. Psalm 91:9-10
  • I confess that the words of your mouth [Children’s Name] and the meditation of your heart be pleasing to the Lord, your rock and your redeemer. Psalm 19:14
  • I confess that [Children’s Name] is guarded by you Lord as you would guard your own eyes. I confess that [Children’s Name] is hidden in the shadow of your wings, protected from wicked people who attack them, from murderous enemies who surround them. Psalm 17:8-9

Declarations

  • I declare that [Children’s Name] takes hold of godly instructions and not let them go. They will guard them, for they are the key to life. Proverbs 4:13
  • I declare that first and most importantly [Children’s Name] seeks (aims at, strives after) Your kingdom and Your righteousness [God’s way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all the things they desire will be given to them also. Matthew 6:33
  • I declare [Children’s Name] will behave wisely and follow the way of integrity. [Children’s Name] will walk in integrity and with a blameless heart. [Children’s Name] will set no worthless or wicked thing before their eyes. They’ll hate the practice of those who fall away [from the right path]; It will not grasp hold of them. Psalm 101:2-3
  • I declare that [Children’s Name] will be kind and helpful to one another and others, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ has forgiven them. Ephesians 4:32
  • I declare [Children’s Name] “When you pass through the waters, God will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you [Children’s Name] walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. Isaiah 43:2
  • I declare Just as you [Children’s Name] has received a special gift [a spiritual talent, an ability graciously given by God], you will employ it in serving one another as [is appropriate for] good stewards of God’s multi-faceted grace [faithfully using the diverse, varied gifts and abilities granted to Christians by God’s unmerited favor]. 1 Peter 4:10
  • I declare ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ says God, ‘That He will pour out His Spirit upon all mankind; And [Children’s Name] shall prophesy, And [Children’s Name] shall see [divinely prompted] visions, And [Children’s Name] shall dream [divinely prompted] dreams Acts 2:17
  • I declare You oh God are [Children’s Name]‘s hiding place; You, Lord, protect [Children’s Name] from trouble; You surround [Children’s Name] with songs and shouts of deliverance. Psalm 32:7

These are my confessions and declarations in Jesus Mighty Name.

Thanks for being a part of this challenge.

DAY 6 – Prayers for Their Future

The future is bright” is a phrase I’ve heard so much. But, who can tell what awaits us in this future?

As human beings, we can project and predict. Some of these projections may turn out true or false. However, there is someone who knows what tomorrow holds and even though we do not know what tomorrow holds, we know who holds tomorrow.

I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29:11 MSG

Today, we would be praying for the future of our children.

Song of the Day: Because He lives | Gaither Vocal Band

Scriptural Meditations: Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 4:18, Psalm 92:13-15, Psalm 121:8, Proverbs 23:18, Psalm 20:4, John 15:7, Psalm 37:37

Prayers

  • Lord, I pray for the future of [Child/ren’s name]. You have promised in your word that you have something planned out and this plan is to give [Child/ren’s name] the future they hope for. Therefore Lord, I receive for [Child/ren’s name] a successful future, a healthy future, a prosperous future, and a God-filled future in Jesus Name.
  • Lord, I pray that [Child/ren’s name] is constantly surrounded by your angels. I do not know what tomorrow holds but Lord I know you are the custodian of [Child/ren’s name] future, so I declare that your angels go ahead of [Child/ren’s name] and make their paths clear in Jesus Name.
  • Lord, I pray that [Child/ren’s name] will walk in moral integrity, obeying and living according to your instructions so that [Child/ren’s name] generations can enjoy your blessings in Jesus Name.
  • Lord, I know that even while I have plans for [Child/ren’s name], they also have plans of their own. I pray that you will grant [Child/ren’s name]’s heart desires and fulfill all of their plans to your glory. I also pray that [Child/ren’s name]’s going out and coming in will be guarded by you. I pray that [Child/ren’s name] will prosper in everything they set out to do. I pray that you will keep them from evil and always protect them in Jesus Name.
  • Lord, I pray that [Child/ren’s name] will flourish like the date palm, grow majestic and stable like a cedar in Lebanon. I pray [Child/ren’s name] remains planted in the house of God, growing in grace, thriving and even bearing fruits at a period when it looks like they should no longer be in Jesus Name.
  • Lord, I pray that [Child/ren’s name] stay connected to you all the days of his/her life. In your word you said that if [Child/ren’s name] remains in you and your message lives in his/her heart, whatever they wish, when they ask, you will do it for them. I pray that this is fulfilled in [Child/ren’s name]’s life in Jesus Name.
  • Lord, I pray for me [Child/ren’s name]’s mom; that you will help me not to think that I know best regarding the future of [Child/ren’s name]. Help me Lord to hand it all over to you. Help me Lord to pass my ideas and desire through you always regarding [Child/ren’s name]’s future. I also pray that you will help me to trust your plans for [Child/ren’s name] future above all else in Jesus Name.

Thank you for joining in today and my apologies for posting this late. Join me tomorrow again as we round up with scriptural declarations and confessions.

God bless you.
